The combination eyewash and shower safety station is designed for emergency response, featuring a temperature-actuated freeze protection valve that automatically opens when the water temperature drops below 40°F to prevent freezing. The station ensures there are no "dead legs" of water standing in the unit when the drain valve is open, with water flow stopping once temperatures rise above 40°F. The shower head is a 10" diameter orange ABS plastic unit with a flow rate of 20 GPM, operated by a 1" IPS chrome plated brass stay-open ball valve, featuring a stainless steel actuating arm and a 29" stainless steel pull rod. The spray head assembly includes two GS-Plus® spray heads with flip top dust covers, internal flow control, and filters for impurity removal. The eyewash bowl is constructed from 11-1/8" diameter stainless steel, while the eyewash valve is a 1/2" IPS chrome plated brass three-way self-draining stay-open ball valve that allows drainage after use. The kit includes Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipes and fittings with high visibility orange polyethylene covers for corrosion resistance. It features a 1-1/4" NPT female top inlet for supply and a 1-1/4" NPT female outlet that can be adjusted to either 9-1/4" or 15-3/4" above the finished floor. An ANSI-compliant identification sign is also included. Quality assurance is ensured as the valve and spray head assemblies are factory assembled and water tested before shipment.
