3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Potting Compound DP270 Black is a low viscosity, two-part epoxy adhesive designed for easy dispensing and potting of electronic and electrical components. This rigid potting compound features a 1:1 mix ratio and a work life of 70 minutes, providing initial strength in approximately 3 hours with a compressive strength of around 2,500 PSI at 72°F (22°C). It is non-corrosive to copper, offers minimal exotherm and very low shrinkage, and demonstrates good resistance to medical sterilization. The product has been tested for flammability per UL94 HB and is available in both black opaque and transparent amber options. Recommended applications include potting and bonding of electrical components.
