The Shop-Vac® 4 gallon, 5.5 peak HP wet/dry vacuum features the SVX2 motor technology, offering increased power and a longer motor life compared to the standard 5.5 peak HP motor. This compact vacuum is designed for efficiently cleaning up household messes and includes a hose that connects to the rear blower port for blowing dirt out of hard-to-reach areas. Constructed with poly material, the vacuum uses a cartridge/collection/foam filter type. Notably, peak horsepower (PHP) is a term that reflects the motor's output in laboratory testing, which does not necessarily represent operational horsepower in actual use. The CFM (cubic feet per minute) measures the air volume moved by the vacuum motor under a specific load, with actual performance influenced by the hose size, accessory tool, and filter system used. Regular cleaning and replacement of filters are essential to maintain suction and airflow efficiency. SP (sealed pressure) suction pressure is measured in inches, indicating how high the vacuum motor can lift a column of water, with maximum suction occurring at zero airflow and decreasing as airflow increases.
