The Shop-Vac® 3.0 Peak HP two-stage wet/dry head assembly is designed for use on a 55-gallon drum, with the drum not included. This assembly incorporates Ultra-Web®, a registered trademark of the Donaldson Company, Inc. The horsepower rating, referred to as Peak Horsepower (PHP), serves for consumer comparison in the wet-dry vacuum industry but does not represent operational horsepower. It highlights the motor's output, including inertial contributions, as measured in laboratory conditions. Actual operating horsepower may vary, as Shop-Vac® motors do not function at the peak horsepower indicated. CFM (cubic feet per minute) measures the airflow quantity moved by the vacuum motor under specific system loads, determined by the hose size, accessory tools, and filter systems in use. Regular maintenance of filters is crucial to prevent suction and airflow reduction. SP (sealed pressure) suction pressure indicates the height to which water can be lifted within a glass tube by the vacuum motor, measured in inches, with maximum suction occurring at zero airflow. Lastly, vacuum performance derives from the combination of suction and airflow, affected by filter cleanliness, leaks, and used attachments.
