The Skullerz® 8974-MIPS safety helmet is a class E safety helmet incorporating integrated MIPS® technology, which is engineered to enhance head protection by mitigating the effects of angled impacts through a low-friction layer that slides multi-directionally. This helmet offers heavy-duty yet lightweight protection for the front, back, top, and sides of the head against falls, dropped objects, and collisions with stationary objects. It features the MIPS Elevate safety system for additional impact protection and complies with EN 12492 side impact testing requirements, ensuring comprehensive protection. The helmet includes a chin strap to secure it during falls or sudden movements, as well as a removable hard hat sweatband made from breathable, sweat-wicking, and machine washable materials for all-day comfort. Enhanced night safety and visibility are facilitated by integrated headlamp slots on the front and rear, while the compact shell design improves overall visibility, particularly when looking up. The flexible open frame with a perforated MIPS safety system enhances air circulation, and the helmet allows for easy size adjustment via a one-handed adjustment knob that accommodates different head sizes and hairstyles. It also supports the mounting of the Skullerz 8991 safety helmet visor for added eye protection.
