Accucold® manufactures purpose-built freezers designed to meet the rigorous standards of NSF 456 for the stable storage of vaccines and other pharmaceuticals. The VT65MLVAC456 is a 24" wide all-freezer featuring a front-breathing design and fully finished exterior, allowing for built-in installation under counters or freestanding use. It features digital microprocessor temperature controls that are pre-set and locked at -30°C to prevent accidental adjustments. To facilitate compliance with VFC programs and the CDC Vaccine Storage and Handling Toolkit, the unit includes a NIST calibrated thermometer displaying current, minimum, and maximum temperatures to the nearest tenth of a degree, with an external readout viewable in Celsius or Fahrenheit. A two-year certificate of calibration is also included for facility records. The thermometer has an audible alarm to alert users if the interior temperature deviates from the programmed range, and the buffered temperature probe is encased in a glycol-filled bottle for optimal accuracy in temperature reporting. There is a pre-installed 3/8" probe hole for users wishing to add additional monitoring equipment. With extra thick insulation and a static manual defrost cooling system, the freezer offers reliable temperature stability. The overall capacity is 3.2 cu.ft., with 1.85 cu.ft. of usable space for vaccine storage. Three slide-out drawers on fixed shelves allow for easy organization and access to stored items, with the drawers made from clear plastic to provide visibility of contents while protecting them from warmer air when the door is opened. The interior includes a defrost indicator as required by NSF/ANSI 456 standards.
