AccuCold® introduces a new series of ultra low temperature chest freezers suitable for laboratory, life science, and institutional settings, specifically designed to operate at -85°C. Manufactured in Denmark by Elcold, model LAB11 provides 4.8 cu.ft. of storage space and features extra thick 4 1/2" insulation along with static manual defrost operation to ensure reliable ultra low temperature maintenance essential for biological samples, industrial materials, laboratory specimens, select vaccines, and other items requiring precise cold storage. The chest freezer includes two inner lids that enhance protection by shielding contents when the outer lid is opened. It is equipped with digital microprocessor controls for convenient front access and has a temperature range adjustable between -50 and -85°C, with a display that can be viewed in either Celsius or Fahrenheit. The thermostat features a high/low temperature alarm to alert users if the interior deviates from the set range, along with an audible 9V battery-powered alarm in the rear that activates in the event of a power failure. The LAB11R9 variant includes pre-installed casters with two front locking wheels for stability and an easy-grip handle with a factory-installed keyed lock for added security. Additionally, this model is available with a set of 9 vertical stainless steel box racks. The LAB11 is UL listed for both the US and Canada and complies with ANSI/NSF-7.
