AccuCold® introduces a new series of ultra low temperature chest freezers, specifically designed for reliable storage at -85°C, suitable for laboratory, life science, and institutional settings. Manufactured for AccuCold® in Denmark by Elcold, model LAB11 provides 4.8 cu. ft. of storage capacity. It features extra thick 4 1/2" insulation and static manual defrost operation, which help maintain ultra low temperatures critical for preserving biological samples, industrial materials, laboratory specimens, select vaccines, and other materials with stringent cold storage requirements. The unit is equipped with two inner lids that offer additional protection by shielding contents when the outer lid is opened. Digital microprocessor controls are conveniently mounted in the front, allowing users to set the temperature range between -50 and -85°C, with a display that can be viewed in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The thermostat includes a high/low temperature alarm to alert users if the interior temperature falls outside the set range, and there is an audible 9V battery-powered alarm located at the rear that activates in the event of a power failure. For enhanced mobility, the LAB11 comes with pre-installed casters, including two front locking wheels for stability. An easy-grip handle with a factory-installed keyed lock adds security to the unit. Additionally, a variant of this model is available with a set of 9 vertical stainless steel box racks (model LAB11R9). The LAB11 holds UL listing for use in the US and Canada and complies with ANSI/NSF-7 standards. Further sizes will be available soon.
