The Skullerz® 8978 Intrinsically Safe Headlamp is designed to easily attach directly to any Skullerz® hard hat and safety helmet light mount or headlamp mounting straps. This Class I, II and III / Division 1 safety light is specifically engineered for hazardous locations where there is an explosion risk due to fumes or fine dusts. It features an intrinsically safe design, a quick mount that seamlessly and securely attaches to built-in front or rear slots on Skullerz hard hats and safety helmets, and a pivoting mount with an 8-position tilt design for optimal visibility. The headlamp boasts dual-action LED lights that provide ultra-bright illumination for both up-close tasks and distance lighting, with two light settings: a low setting of 75 lumens with a runtime of 12 hours and a high setting of 216 lumens with a runtime of 5 hours. Additionally, the headlamp is weather-resistant, being waterproof and dustproof (IP67 rated), battery-operated (requiring 3 AAA batteries, included), and has been tested and certified to UL 913 & CSA 22.2 No. 157-92 standards, with classifications of Class I, Div. 1 & 2 Grp. ABCD; Class II, Div. 1 & 2 Grp EFG; Class III; and a temperature code of T4.
