Benchmark's MC-12™ is a compact microcentrifuge designed to achieve centrifugal speeds up to 16,000 xg, which is often the standard for many molecular biology and DNA protocols. It features a brushless, maintenance-free drive system, allowing for powerful performance while remaining small enough to ensure that each workstation can accommodate a personal centrifuge. The MC-12™ offers exceptional performance without compromising on any aspects, including shortened acceleration and deceleration times, whisper-quiet operation, and a computer-designed airflow pattern that minimizes sample temperature increases during extended runs at high speeds. Operating parameters are easily set via a single control knob, and the large, bright LCD displays time along with RPM or g-force. It includes a momentary spin button for instant spin downs without altering any preset settings. The aircraft-grade aluminum rotor can directly accept 1.5 to 2.0 ml tubes, and optional adapters allow for 0.5 ml and 0.2 ml tubes. Designed for versatility, the MC-12™ is also cold room safe for applications requiring sub-ambient temperatures. Its specifications include a 12 tube capacity and a width of less than 9 inches.
