The 3M™ Hookit™ Film Disc 360L features an aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing, designed for effective fine sanding on plastics, gel coats, and polyurethane solid surface substrates. The durable film backing provides the necessary resilience for high-production environments and offers excellent resistance to edge tearing, resulting in a longer lifespan compared to standard A-weight paper backings. This film backing ensures a close-tolerance, consistent finish, making it suitable for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, and sanding automotive primer. The disc incorporates an open coat construction to reduce loading, and its 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment enables easy re-use, designed to work with our low-profile 3M™ Hookit™ disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Available in a range of grades for various applications from fine sanding to finishing, aluminum oxide is favored by industrial professionals for its fast cut-rate and long life, making it ideal for both woodworking and metalworking applications, including ferrous alloys.
