The 3M™ Hookit™ Film Disc 360L features an aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing, designed for effective fine sanding on plastics, gel coats, and polyurethane solid surface substrates. The durable film backing provides the necessary longevity for high-production environments and offers excellent resistance to edge tearing, which extends its life compared to discs with standard A-weight paper backings. This product is ideal for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, and sanding automotive primer. It incorporates an open coat construction without a load-resistant stearate coating to help reduce loading on the disc. The 3M™ Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment enables easy re-use, allowing the disc to be used multiple times throughout its lifespan, and it securely attaches to the low-profile 3M™ Hookit™ disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. The Film Disc 360L is available in various grades suitable for applications ranging from fine sanding to finishing. Aluminum oxide is favored by industrial professionals due to its fast cut-rate and long life, making it a robust abrasive that self-fractures to reveal fresh cutting edges.
