3M™ Cubitron™ II Stikit™ Cloth Disc 900DZ features ceramic 3M™ Precision-Shaped Grain, which represents a significant advancement in abrasive technology. This triangular-shaped ceramic mineral is engineered to slice through substrates rather than gouging or "plowing" like conventional abrasives, resulting in cutting speeds of up to 2x faster than traditional options. The disc has a J-weight cloth backing that provides excellent tear resistance, durability, and a consistent, uniform finish across various substrates. It is specially coated for efficient sanding, incorporates a static-resistant coating for enhanced dust control during woodworking, and is resin-bonded for added heat resistance. Designed for productivity improvements in tough sanding applications, this disc is effective on aluminum, fiberglass, gelcoat, hardwood, metal, softwood, and solid surfaces. The 3M™ Precision-Shaped Grain continually fractures to maintain fresh cutting edges, ensuring rapid and sustained cutting performance, even under high-pressure production conditions and on hard materials. These discs are particularly advantageous for stainless steel and whitewood sanding, allowing for increased efficiency in work processes. The cloth-backed discs offer durability and flexibility, making them ideal for metalwork and heavy wood stock removal. 3M™ Stikit™ discs come with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back, enabling easy application to the 3M™ Stikit™ disc pad and effortless removal without residue.
