The Skullerz® 8977 Type 2 safety helmet is a Class C safety helmet featuring a 6-point suspension and an EPS foam interior halo for comprehensive impact protection. This helmet is designed for heavy-duty yet lightweight and comfortable head protection, effectively shielding the front, back, top, and sides of the head from falls, dropped objects, or collisions with stationary items. The 6-point suspension system enhances force dispersion compared to 4-point systems. The compact design improves visibility, while the included chin strap ensures the helmet remains secure during impacts or sudden movements such as slips, trips, or falls. The helmet meets the ANSI Z89.1-2014, Type 2, Class C requirements, and the suspension and shell design provide added protection that complies with ANSI Z89.1-2014 Type 1 standards, as well as impact and penetration resistance requirements of EN12492:2012 clauses 4.2.1.2, 4.2.1.3, 4.2.1.4, and 4.2.2, alongside retention system effectiveness per clauses 4.13, 4.2.3, and 4.2.4. It accommodates most head sizes, fitting hat sizes from 6.5 to 8 (21 in to 25 in / 53 cm to 63.5 cm), and features adjustable venting and a flexible open frame to enhance air circulation. The helmet is tested and approved per ANSI Z89.1-2014, Type II, Class C, as well as EN12492:2012 and EN397:2012+A1:2012 standards.
