The Skullerz® 8976 Type 2 safety helmet is a Class E safety helmet featuring a 6-point suspension system and an EPS foam interior halo for comprehensive impact protection. Designed to provide robust yet lightweight comfort, it protects the front, back, top, and sides of the head from falls, dropped objects, and collisions with stationary objects. The 6-point suspension offers superior force dispersion compared to 4-point systems, while the compact design enhances visibility. A chin strap secures the helmet firmly in place during impacts or sudden movements. The helmet meets ANSI Z89.1-2014, Type 2, Class E standards and offers increased side, front, and back protection per ANSI Z89.1-2014 Type 1 requirements. It also complies with the impact and penetration resistance criteria outlined in EN12492: 2012 clauses 4.2.1.2, 4.2.1.3, 4.2.1.4, and 4.2.2. Key features include a chin strap that meets ANSI Z89.1-2014 Type 2 and EN12492 safety requirements, a size range accommodating most head sizes (hat sizes 6.5 - 8 / 21in - 25 in / 53cm - 63.5cm), and certifications including ANSI Z89.1-2014, Type II, Class E, and EN12492:2012 among others. The lightweight EPS foam halo provides all-around impact protection, while the removable hard hat sweatband and top pad are made from breathable, sweat-wicking, and odor-resistant materials. The helmet also includes integrated patent-pending headlamp slots at the front and rear for compatibility with the Skullerz® hard hat LED light, available separately or with the 8976LED.
