Detecto® 420 Series digital precision balance scales are Class II legal for trade and are designed for weighing a variety of items such as herbs, cannabis, gourmet coffee, tea, jewels, and precious metals (gold and silver) in retail environments, with precision options of 10, 20, or 50 mg. The series is NTEP and OIML certified for trade (excluding models 420-100 and 420-2000) and includes a built-in rechargeable battery and eight different units of measure. Each scale comes with a removable air shield for accurate measurements, except for the model 420-3000, which features a larger platform size of 7-3/8 in W x 5-13/16 in D (188 mm W x 148 mm D) compared to the standard platform size of 5-11/16 in W x 4-1/2 in D (145 mm W x 115 mm D) for other models. The overall dimensions of the scales are 8-5/8 in W x 11-1/2 in D x 3-3/16 in H (219 mm W x 292 mm D x 80 mm H). The scales can measure in grams, kilograms, metric carats, avoirdupois drams, ounces, pounds, grains, and pennyweight. Key features include counting mode, 10-milligram accuracy, an RS232 serial port for printer output, a polycarbonate body with a stainless steel tray, and nearly one-inch-high (23 mm) bold digits with blue backlight, ensuring they are intuitive and easy to use.
