The kit includes a purpose-built vaccine storage unit certified to the NSF/ANSI 456 vaccine storage standard, designed to be ADA compliant at just under 32" tall, making it suitable for installation under ADA-compliant counters or for freestanding use. Its temperature variation is ±1°C, based on the maximum deviation of an NTC sensor in a 1 oz. vial located nearest the chamber's geometric center during a 24-hour test period. A two-year calibration certificate is included for user records. The unit features an antimicrobial silver ion-coated handle, adjustable temperature controls allowing settings between +2 to +8°C, a temperature alarm, remote alarm contacts, and automatic defrost with an adjustable cycle. It has a pre-installed 1/2" probe hole for user-provided monitoring equipment, an open door alarm that sounds if the door is left ajar for over 4 minutes (adjustable from 1 to 99 minutes), an audible power failure alarm powered by a battery, and a sensor failure alarm with audible and visual warnings. Password protection secures the control panel, which features a microprocessor with digital controls and a large LED readout in Celsius or Fahrenheit for intuitive temperature management, along with a resettable min/max display. The factory-installed keyed lock, located towards the top of the door, provides additional security (two keys included). Additionally, the unit includes adjustable plastic-coated wire shelves for improved air circulation with multiple shelf positions spaced at 1/2" to accommodate various sizes and a durable interior constructed from white powder-coated materials. It is equipped with a hospital-grade cord featuring a 'green dot' plug for enhanced safety.
