The vaccine storage unit is certified to NSF/ANSI 456 Vaccine Storage Standard and features a purpose-built design with a temperature variation of +/-1°C, determined by the maximum deviation of an NTC sensor in a 1 oz. vial at the chamber's geometric center during a 24-hour test period. It includes a certificate of calibration with a 2-year validity for record-keeping, an antimicrobial silver ion-coated handle, adjustable temperature controls allowing settings between +2 to +8°C, and a temperature alarm. The unit is equipped with remote alarm contacts, automatic defrost with adjustable cycle defrost, and an access port featuring a pre-installed 1/2" probe hole for easy connection to user-provided monitoring equipment. An open door alarm activates if the door remains ajar for more than four minutes (with an adjustable time frame of 1-99 minutes), complemented by an audible power failure alarm that sounds if the power connection is interrupted, as well as a sensor failure alarm with both audible and visual alerts. The control panel is password protected to prevent unauthorized adjustments beyond the set point and utilizes a microprocessor control panel with a large LED readout in Celsius or Fahrenheit for intuitive management. The unit also features a resettable min/max display, a factory-installed keyed lock located towards the top of the door (with two keys included), and adjustable plastic-coated wire shelves spaced at 1/2" for various sizes. The hospital grade cord has a 'green dot' plug for enhanced safety, while the durable interior is made of white powder-coated metal for improved strength and temperature retention.
