The Roof Hatch Railing Kit is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing openings and ladder ways, specifically mounting to the hatch drip edge for minimal penetration to the hatch. Model KH-O-4848 features an offset grab rail to assist climbers and is intended for hatch openings located in front of hinges, covering dimensions up to 36" x 36". To maintain OSHA compliance, a self-closing gate is required, although it is not included in the kit; compatible gate options include MFG part SGNA500GV/PC models B2219364 and B2219363. The Kee Hatch® access guardrail system is fully compliant with OSHA standards, providing protection during egress and ingress through roof hatches and safeguarding the roof opening when the hatch is open. The guardrail surrounds the opening, significantly reducing fall risks during transitions from ladders through the roof hatch. Installation is straightforward, requiring no special tools or training, and comes with detailed instructions. The modular design allows for on-site adjustments, ensuring compatibility with all new or existing roof access hatches.
