The hydraulic drum crusher/compactor is designed to crush steel drums and automatically resets to crush another drum. It includes a drum compacting feature, operational for fifty-five (55) gallon drums, by simply removing the drum crushing platen. The crushing mechanism accommodates any drum size up to fifty-five (55) gallons, delivering a crushing force of 38,000 lbs, flattening 55-gallon drums to a height of 6 inches in just 30 seconds. Key safety features include a pressure relief valve to prevent overload and a door interlock system ensuring the motor operates only when the door is securely closed. The unit is equipped with built-in fork pockets for easy transportation and includes a drip pan to minimize oil spills, with additional drip pans available. The crusher’s specifications include a 6.5 hp motor running on 460 volts, 3-phase, and 60 hertz, with an approximate cycle time of 25 seconds for crushing and retracting. The usable chamber dimensions measure 25 inches in length, 25 inches in width, and 35-3/4 inches in height. The compacting platen has a diameter of 21 inches, and the maximum compacting force is 18,000 lbs. The oil reservoir capacity is 25 gallons, while the drip pan dimensions are 31-1/2 inches in width, 4-1/2 inches in length, and 1-5/8 inches in height, with a capacity of 1 gallon.
