Convert your closed head steel drums into storage containers with our drum deheaders. The DD-9 and DD-9-NS models can be adjusted to open steel drums with different thicknesses, featuring an angled blade for maximum penetration that flattens the cut edge to eliminate sharp or jagged edges. Replacement blades are available separately, with model D-Head-B for this purpose. The DD-9-NS model is built with a bronze, spark-resistant alloy, while model DD-10 includes an ergonomic handle for smoother operation during cutting. The Express-Open drum deheader, model D-Head-1, employs a unique design similar to a household can-opener, ensuring ease of use. It includes a vice-grip style mechanism for securely attaching the unit to the drum, and its inside cutting blade does not leave a sharp edge on the drum. The deheaders are capable of opening 5-gallon pails, as well as 30 and 55-gallon drums. Constructed from steel, they provide the strength needed to open these containers. It is important to note that improper use of the drum deheader may result in personal injury or damage to the tool, and a 1/2" manual ratchet wrench or electric drill is required for operation (ratchet drive not included).
