The safety can is designed with a single spout for filling and pouring, featuring a sealed lid that offers automatic positive-pressure relief, venting between 3 and 5 PSIG (0.2 and 0.35 bar) to prevent rupture or explosion. Constructed from high-grade coated steel, each can is rigorously tested to ensure 100% leakproof construction. The durable powder-coat finish provides chemical resistance, making it suitable for rigorous use. Each Justrite® safety can comes equipped with a stainless steel flame arrester that dissipates heat to prevent flashback ignition. Models up to 1 quart (1L) include a trigger-release handle for ease of use, while larger capacities are fitted with a swinging handle for convenient carrying. The can may be complemented with a Type I safety can funnel, which is designed to fit the spout neck of Type I safety cans sized 1 gallon (4L) and larger; this polypropylene funnel features a two-position design that folds for storage and stays up for pouring, with a large rounded bowl that protects against splashing and spillage. Key features include color coding to avoid accidents, a self-closing lid that controls spills, a leakproof auto-venting lid that prevents explosions, and compliance with various certifications such as FM, UL/ULC, and TUV.
