The Quick-Disconnect Disposal Safety Can is designed for HPLC waste applications and features polypropylene fittings suitable for 3/8" tubing with a capacity of 2 gallons. This hands-free solvent collection system allows solvent to flow freely from the process into the container, accommodating both pump-fed and gravity-flow methods. It includes two disconnect fittings—one for intake and one for venting—to eliminate back pressure in the disposal line and ensure controlled vapor handling. The translucent polyethylene container enables quick visual inspection of the liquid level, while the pouring spout is equipped with a stainless steel flame arrester to prevent flashback ignition. A spring-loaded, sealed lid automatically vents to guard against explosion, and odors can be controlled using an optional coalescing/carbon filter. The quick-disconnect system features an easy-on, easy-off mechanism that allows for detachment of the can without leaks, drips, or vapor release, automatically sealing the container once disconnected. It includes valved fittings that prevent vapor or liquid release when decoupled and features stainless-steel fittings with PTFE O-rings, with EPDM O-rings available on customized cans. The can has an easy-carrying handle with a fixed-position latch to keep the spring-loaded cover open for convenient pouring, and it offers economically priced polypropylene barbed fittings. The dimensions of the can are 14.75" H x 12" outer diameter with a fill/pour hole measuring 3.65 inches, and it is designed for durability and safety to maximize convenience and safeguard against accidental spills.
