The quick-disconnect disposal safety can features polypropylene fittings designed for 3/8" tubing and has a 5-gallon capacity in a white poly construction. It provides hands-free solvent collection, allowing solvent to flow freely from the process into the container, making it suitable for both pump-fed and gravity-flow HPLC waste methods. The system includes two disconnect fittings—one intake and one vent—that eliminate back pressure in the disposal line and facilitate controlled vapor handling. The translucent polyethylene container enables quick visual inspection of liquid levels, while the pouring spout is equipped with a stainless steel flame arrester to dissipate heat and prevent flashback ignition. The spring-loaded, sealed lid automatically vents to guard against explosions, and an optional coalescing/carbon filter helps control odors. The quick-disconnect system allows for easy detachment of the can from the process without leaks, drips, or vapor release, with valved fittings that automatically close when decoupled. The stainless-steel fittings are equipped with PTFE O-rings, and EPDM O-ring seals are available for customized cans. The can features an easy-carrying handle with a fixed-position latch to keep the spring-loaded cover open for convenient pouring. The container has a liter capacity of 19, a fill/pour hole with a diameter of 3.65 inches, and exterior dimensions of 20" H x 12" outer diameter.
