Justrite's Cease-Fire® waste receptacles are designed to effectively extinguish flames by directing smoke and gas from any fire inside the container back into the combustion area, thereby cutting off the air supply and extinguishing flames in seconds. These receptacles are ideal for the collection of waste paper and other solvent-free combustibles, providing around-the-clock protection against trash fires and suitable for use in various environments including plants, hospitals, schools, offices, and stores. It is important to note that drums should not be filled beyond 3/4 full. The receptacles feature a durable steel head with red powder-coat paint for harsh conditions or an easy-to-clean brushed aluminum head that offers corrosion resistance. Constructed from heavy-gauge steel with a rust preventative interior coating, the Cease-Fire® receptacles are compliant with FM Approvals and have UL listing for all models except the 55-gallon size. The opening diameter measures 7-7/8 inches.
