The Quick-Disconnect Disposal Safety Can is designed for effective HPLC waste management, featuring fittings for 3/8" tubing and a 5-gallon capacity made of durable white polyethylene. It allows for hands-free solvent collection through a convenient process where the solvent flows freely into the container, accommodating both pump-fed and gravity-flow disposal methods. The can is equipped with two disconnect fittings, one for intake and one for venting, which eliminate back pressure in the liquid flow disposal line while managing vapor release. The translucent polyethylene construction facilitates quick visual inspection of the liquid level, while a pouring spout fitted with a stainless steel flame arrester helps prevent flashback ignition. The spring-loaded, sealed lid automatically vents to mitigate explosion risks, and odors are controlled with an optional coalescing/carbon filter. The quick-disconnect system allows for an easy-on, easy-off mechanism that prevents leaks, drips, or vapor release during disconnection, with valved fittings that close automatically to stop any release of vapor or liquid. Additional attributes include stainless-steel fittings with PTFE O-rings, an easy-carrying handle with a fixed-position latch for convenience, and economically priced polypropylene barbed fittings with EPDM O-rings.
