The 5" T-311 Cast Iron Swing Check Valve features a swing-check design that is ideal for various commercial and industrial general backflow prevention applications. It is constructed from durable cast iron, which resists pipeline stresses and distortion. The valve incorporates an IBBM design, meaning it has an Iron-Body-Bronze-Mount, with a bronze body seat and flapper-disc sealing rings that provide improved sealing over simple iron-on-iron designs. It includes Class 125/150 full-face flange-type end connections, and all external surfaces are primed and painted for corrosion resistance. This valve can be installed in either vertical (upward flow only) or horizontal (with cover upright) applications. Face-to-face dimensions comply with ANSI/ASME B16.10 for interchangeability, while flanged end connections conform to ANSI/ASME B16.1 Class 125/150, and it also conforms to MSS SP-71. The valve is manufactured in an ISO accredited facility and has a working pressure of 200 PSI for cold working pressure (CWP) and 125 PSI for saturated steam (WSP), with a maximum service temperature of 450°F.
