The 4" T-311 Cast Iron Swing Check Valve features a swing-check design that is ideal for basic commercial and industrial general backflow prevention applications. Its durable cast iron construction resists pipeline stresses and distortion. The valve incorporates an IBBM design, which includes an Iron-Body-Bronze-Mount, featuring a bronze body seat and flapper-disc sealing rings; the pliable rings provide an improved seal compared to traditional plain iron-on-iron designs. The valve has Class 125/150 full-face flange-type end connections, and all external surfaces are primed and painted for corrosion resistance. It can be installed in either vertical (upward flow only) or horizontal (cover upright) applications. In accordance with interchangeability requirements, the face-to-face dimensions conform to ANSI / ASME B16.10, while the flanged end connections conform to ANSI / ASME B16.1 Class 125/150. The valve also conforms to MSS SP-71 and is manufactured in an ISO accredited facility. The working pressure is rated for non-shock applications with a cold working pressure (CWP) of 200 PSI and a saturated steam working pressure (WSP) of 125 PSI, and it has a maximum service temperature of 450°F.
