The 3" T-311 Cast Iron Swing Check Valve is designed for basic commercial and industrial backflow prevention applications with its swing-check design. This valve features a durable cast iron construction that resists pipeline stresses and distortion. It utilizes an Iron-Body-Bronze-Mount (IBBM) design, incorporating a bronze body seat and flapper-disc sealing rings that provide a superior seal compared to plain iron-on-iron designs. The valve is equipped with Class 125/150 full-face flange-type end connections and all external surfaces are primed and painted for corrosion resistance. Installation options include vertical placement for upward flow only or horizontal installation with the cover upright. It conforms to ANSI/ASME B16.10 for face-to-face dimensions and ANSI/ASME B16.1 Class 125/150 for flanged end connections. Additionally, it meets the requirements of MSS SP-71 and is manufactured in an ISO accredited facility. The valve has a cold working pressure (CWP) of 200 PSI, a saturated steam working pressure (WSP) of 125 PSI, and a maximum service temperature of 450°F.
