The 8" T-312 ductile iron wafer check valve features a stainless steel disc and is designed for efficient backflow prevention. Key attributes include dual spring-loaded discs that ensure quick and silent closure, elastomer seats that create a positive seal against backflow, and the versatility to be installed vertically or horizontally in any orientation. Its durable ductile iron body facilitates easy installation between Class 125/150 companion flanges, while the compact body design is lighter and requires less installation space compared to traditional flanged swing check valves. The split-disc, center-torsional spring design minimizes pressure drop, with a working pressure (non-shock) of 300 PSI for cold working pressure (CWP) and not suitable for steam service regarding saturated steam (WSP). The valve also has a maximum service temperature of 180°F.
