The 8" T-311 cast iron swing check valve features a swing-check design that is ideal for various commercial and industrial general backflow prevention applications. Constructed from durable cast iron, it effectively resists pipeline stresses and distortion. The IBBM design, which stands for Iron-Body-Bronze-Mount, includes a bronze body seat and flapper-disc sealing rings, with pliable rings that provide an improved seal compared to traditional iron-on-iron designs. This valve incorporates Class 125/150 full-face flange-type end connections, ensuring compatibility with various piping systems. All external surfaces are primed and painted to prevent corrosion, while the valve can be installed in either vertical (upward flow only) or horizontal (cover upright) configurations. It adheres to interchangeability standards, with face-to-face dimensions conforming to ANSI / ASME B16.10, and flanged end connections compliant with ANSI / ASME B16.1 Class 125/150. The valve also meets the MSS SP-71 standard and is manufactured in an ISO accredited facility. Key specifications include a working pressure of 200 PSI for cold working pressure (CWP) and 125 PSI for saturated steam (WSP), with a maximum service temperature of 450°F.
