The Skullerz® 8951 vented hard shell bump cap is constructed from a durable polyethylene shell designed to protect against bumps, scrapes, bruises, and other minor head injuries while resisting cracking and breaking for increased longevity and ease of cleaning. This cap features strategically placed shell vents and a ventilated suspension system that promote breathability and air circulation, making it ideal for prolonged use. The flexible suspension incorporates a removable, replaceable 4mm thick foam-backed fabric sweatband, enhancing comfort during demanding tasks. The recessed design on the sides allows for compatibility with earmuffs, ensuring effective integration with hearing protection, while the short, flat angled brim enhances upward visibility. The adjustable suspension system accommodates height, rear strap angle, and size, with hat sizes ranging from 6-1/8 to 8 (head circumference: 19.25-25.25 in // 49-64 cm), offering a personalized fit. The cap has a short brim length of 2 in (50 mm) and features a ratchet closure. It is typically used in environments with potential lower energy worker-generated impacts, such as low ceilings and beams, and is suitable for mechanics, airline baggage handlers, and workers in food processing or in-home services; however, it is not designed for use where ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 hard hats are required.
