The JET® SSC Series electric hoists are engineered for safety and durability in commercial and industrial applications, featuring a robust all-steel construction and a durable powder coat finish. Each model integrates a slip clutch overload protection mechanism that prevents lifting loads beyond their rated capacity, with single phase models designed with thermal overload protection to avoid overheating, and three phase models equipped with a reverse phase relay to safeguard against incorrect wiring. The hoists are available in 1/2-ton to 5-ton capacities with standard lifts of 10, 15, and 20 feet, and custom lifts can also be provided. Key attributes include NEMA 4X compliant push button control pendants, a grade 80 black oxide coated load chain for enhanced durability, upper and lower limit switches for added safety, and a push button controller featuring a cable strain relief system for reliability. The maintenance-free gear train operates within a sealed oil bath, and the industry-proven DC electromagnetic brake ensures that the load remains secure even in the event of a power interruption. The hoist has a duty cycle of 30% and operates at a prewired 460V with a motor current of 12 amps.
