The BSV-20VS metal cutting band saw is a versatile addition to our lineup, enhancing the capacity of the BSV-16 while incorporating a variable-speed pulley. This band saw features a robust 2 HP motor that operates on 220-volt single-phase power, offering a wide 20-1/2" throat depth and a maximum cutting thickness of 12-3/8". It is compatible with standard 1/4" to 3/4" blades and includes a cast iron table that pivots both front to back and left to right. The kit comes with a cast iron mitering system, rip fence, and protractor to ensure straight and repeatable cuts. Its variable speed ranges from 65 to 1640 FPM, adjustable using a hand wheel for optimal cutting performance on wood, metal, and plastic. A digital readout displays the exact blade speed, helping to choose the right settings for specific materials, thus extending the blade's lifespan. Additionally, this band saw allows for center cutting without pre-fixed cuts, and the manual shear enables blade cutting for re-welding. It includes a fully integrated blade welder with a built-in grinder for finishing weld joints, making it suitable for center cuts or blade repairs. The thick steel plate framework minimizes vibrations for precise cuts and durability, while an air blowdown system cools the blade and keeps the saw clean from debris. A halogen work light enhances visibility during cutting tasks, and the machine is covered by a 1-year parts warranty.
