The BSV-18VS-V2 metal cutting band saw is designed to increase capacity and provide variable-speed options, allowing for both straight and curved cuts with its vertical blade. It features a 1 HP motor that operates on 120-volt power, a wide 18" throat depth, and a maximum cutting thickness of 12-7/8". The band saw accepts standard blades ranging from 1/8" to 5/8" and includes a cast iron table that can pivot front to back and left to right, along with a cast iron rip fence for straight and repeatable cuts. The variable speed ranges from 90 to 1400 FPM, enabling adjustments for cutting wood, metal, and plastic, while a digital readout displays the estimated blade speed for optimal settings and extended blade life. The included manual shear allows for cutting the blade to run it through the workpiece and then weld it back together, complemented by a fully-integrated blade welder with a built-in grinder for finishing the weld joint. A thick steel plate framework minimizes vibrations, delivering accurate cuts and ensuring durability. Additionally, an air blowdown system cools the blade and maintains a clean working area by removing material chips and shavings, and an LED work light enhances visibility during cutting. The band saw is covered by a 1-year parts warranty.
