The BSV-18VS-220-V2 metal cutting band saw is designed to enhance capacity and provide variable-speed cutting capabilities. It features a 1 HP motor that operates on 220-volt single phase power, with a wide 18" throat depth and a maximum cutting thickness of 12-7/8". This band saw accepts standard blades ranging from 1/8" to 5/8" and includes a cast iron table that can pivot both front to back and left to right. To ensure precise and repeatable cuts, it comes with a cast iron rip fence. The variable speed ranges from 90 to 1400 FPM, allowing adjustments for cutting various materials such as wood, metal, and plastic. A digital readout displays the estimated blade speed for optimal settings and to prolong blade life. Additionally, the band saw is equipped with a manual shear for cutting and welding the blade back together, along with a fully-integrated blade welder and built-in grinder for finishing the weld joint, making it ideal for center cuts or repairs. Its thick steel plate framework minimizes vibrations for accurate cutting and durability over time. An air blowdown system is included to cool the blade and keep the machine free from debris, while an LED work light improves visibility during cutting tasks.
