The Flextec 500X multi-process welder is designed for rugged use in shipyards, construction sites, and fabrication shops, offering ease of setup and operation for heavy-duty indoor and outdoor applications. It includes basic pulse MIG capability and supports welding modes for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and Metalcore electrodes. The welder features CrossLinc® technology, allowing remote operation without control cables, and is built to withstand harsh environments with an IP 23 rating and Desert Duty® certification for operation at temperatures up to 55°C. The durable trayed and potted PC boards ensure environmental protection for electronics. This multi-process power source is compatible with all 42VAC wire feeders for MIG and flux-cored welding, features ArcLink® for synergic pulse modes, optimized stick welding for cellulosic and low hydrogen electrodes, and Touch-start TIG for easy starts without contamination. The CrossLinc technology provides full functionality without cables, enables remote procedure setting at the feeder to enhance weld quality, increases arc time by reducing trips to the power source for adjustments, and improves jobsite safety by minimizing clutter.
