The Flextec 500X multi-process welder is designed for simplicity and ruggedness, making it ideal for heavy-duty indoor and outdoor applications in shipyards, construction sites, and fabrication environments. It features basic pulse MIG capability with weld modes suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and Metalcore electrodes. The welder integrates CrossLinc® technology, allowing operation from hundreds of feet away without the need for control cables. With an IP 23 rating, it performs well in outdoor settings, and it is Desert Duty® rated for extreme conditions up to 55°C. The durable construction includes a tray and potted PC boards for enhanced electronic protection. This versatile power source is compatible with all 42VAC wire feeders for MIG and flux-cored welding and features ArcLink® enabled capability for synergic pulse modes. The Flextec 500X also optimizes stick welding for cellulosic and low hydrogen electrodes, and it includes Touch-Start TIG technology for easy starts without contamination.
