3M™ VentureClad™ Enhanced Metal Jacketing 1577CW-EMJ is an all-weather option designed for various jacketing applications, providing high resistance to weathering, mold, UV exposure, and extreme environmental conditions. This product features a zero-permeable design for insulated HVAC ductwork and pipes, effectively protecting against moisture, mold, ultraviolet (UV) rays, and harsh environments. It includes a clear coat layer for enhanced durability and is available in silver smooth. The jacketing is quick and simple to install, requiring no specialized tools, and can bond and seal in conditions as low as -10°F (-23°C), with a service range from -40°F (-40°C) to 248°F (120°C). It is GREENGUARD Gold certified, qualifying for LEED® credits, and is highly resistant to punctures and tears. This product is specifically designed to protect various insulation materials, including fiberglass, polystyrene, mineral wool, elastomeric, phenolic foam, cellular glass, calcium silicate, and conformable aerogel. The jacketing ensures a clean appearance without sharp edges, fasteners, or banding, while also guarding against intrusion by vapor, chemical atmospheres, water, fungi, corrosion, oil, and grease. The excellent adhesion properties in both cold and humid conditions, along with a high puncture and tear resistance, contribute to its longevity and durability. It is made from a multi-layered laminate and is flexible and strong, allowing for easy cutting and installation on-site. The product is backed by a 10-year 3M™ warranty when installed according to the 3M™ installation guidelines.
