The high-visibility protective apparel is designed for construction, municipalities, and work conditions where flame or arc flash protection is necessary. It features ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 2 durable Glenguard® modacrylic fabric, ensuring long-lasting performance and comfort. The garment includes 2-inch 3M Scotchlite FR reflective tape for enhanced visibility, a self-binding FR hook and loop closure, and complies with ASTM 1506 standards, with an arc rating of ATPV 4.6 cal/cm². It has one internal lower pocket and is intended to be worn exclusively over arc-rated clothing, not as standalone wear or over non-arc resistant apparel. The fabric composition includes mesh for breathability and modacrylic for durability, which retains its flame-resistant properties through wear and laundering. This Type/Class R2 apparel is suitable for workers exposed to traffic traveling over 25 mph, and as a reusable/launderable item, it contributes to waste reduction. It falls under PPE category 1, consistent with NFPA guidelines for flame resistance, ranging from PPE 1 to PPE 4 based on arc rating levels from 4 to 40 cal/cm².
