The kit is designed for construction, municipalities, and work conditions that require high-visibility clothing combined with flame or arc flash protection. It includes ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 3 durable GlenGuard® modacrylic fabric, ensuring long-lasting performance and comfort. The garment features 2-inch 3M Scotchlite FR reflective tape for superior visibility, a self-binding FR hook and loop closure, and meets ASTM 1506 standards with an arc rating of ATPV 4.6 cal/cm². An internal lower pocket provides additional utility, and the garment is intended to be worn exclusively over arc-rated clothing, not alone or over non-arc resistant apparel. The fabric consists of breathable mesh modacrylic, which is inherently flame resistant and retains its protective qualities through wear and laundering. This Class R3 apparel is intended for workers requiring the highest level of visibility while performing high task loads and being visible throughout a full range of body motions. It is designed for extended life, being reusable and launderable, which encourages waste reduction and lessens environmental impact. The PPE category is 1, as identified by the NFPA, which categorizes FR hazardous risk levels, from PPE 1 (low risk with a minimum arc rating of 4) to PPE 4 (high risk with a minimum arc rating of 40).
