It includes ANSI/ISEA 107 Type R Class 2 durable Glenguard® modacrylic fabric for long-lasting performance and comfort, complemented by 2-inch 3M Scotchlite FR reflective tape for superior visibility. The self-binding FR hook and loop closure ensures ease of wear, while the garment meets ASTM 1506 standards and has an arc rating of ATPV 4.6 cal/cm². The design features one internal lower pocket intended to be used over arc-rated clothing only, as it should not be worn alone or over non-arc resistant apparel. The fabric combination of mesh and modacrylic provides enhanced breathability, with the modacrylic ensuring durability and inherent flame resistance that persists through wear and laundering. The Type/Class R2 designation indicates suitability for workers exposed to traffic traveling over 25 mph and complex backgrounds. With extended life attributes, the garment is reusable and launderable, contributing to reduced costs and lesser environmental impact.
