It features 2-inch 3M Scotchlite FR reflective tape for superior visibility, self-binding FR hook and loop closure, and meets ASTM 1506 standards with an arc rating of ATPV 4.6 cal/cm². The garment includes one internal lower pocket to be worn over arc rated clothing only, ensuring it is not meant to be worn alone or over non-arc resistant apparel. The breathable mesh fabric enhances comfort, while the durable modacrylic material is inherently flame resistant and maintains its protective characteristics through wear and laundering. This Class R3 apparel is intended for workers requiring the highest level of visibility during high task loads and a full range of body motions. Designed for extended life, it is reusable and launderable, thus reducing both costs and environmental impact. It falls under PPE category 1, with the NFPA identifying various flame resistance levels from PPE 1, which has a minimum arc rating of 4, to PPE 4, requiring an arc rating of 40.
