The Merit chrome plated brass pipe fitting 1 x 1/2 hex bushing NPT male x female is designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.). It has pressure ratings of 125 PSI for steam and 200 PSI for W.O.G., complying with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. The chrome plated brass construction provides superior corrosion resistance, while the material's relative softness allows for easy installation and ensures a tight seal. These fittings are easy to clean, resist dirt and bacteria accumulation, and maintain a shiny finish. The fitting contains lead and is therefore not permitted by federal law for potable water use in the USA and its territories.
