The Merit chrome plated brass pipe fitting is a 1-1/4 inch coupling with NPT female threads. These chrome plated brass fittings are designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.), with pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G. They meet ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards, offering superior corrosion resistance. The brass material’s relative softness ensures easy installation and a tight seal. The fittings are easy to clean, resist dirt and bacteria, and retain a shiny finish. However, these fittings contain lead and are not permitted by federal law for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.
