The Merit chrome plated brass pipe fitting is a 3/8 inch square head solid plug with NPT male threads. These chrome plated brass fittings are designed for low pressure applications involving water, oil, and gas (W.O.G.), with pressure ratings of 125 psi for steam and 200 psi for W.O.G. The fittings comply with ANSI B 1.20.1 and ANSI B 16.15 standards. They provide superior corrosion resistance and feature a material softness that facilitates easy installation and ensures a tight seal. Chrome plated brass fittings are easy to clean, resist dirt and bacteria accumulation, and maintain a shiny finish. However, these fittings contain lead and are not permitted by federal law for installation in potable water systems in the U.S.A. and its territories.
