The Z446 Universal Centrifuge series features aircraft grade, premium alloy construction and offers the highest capacity among the benchtop Hermle-Benchmark models. It includes a 4 x 750ml swing out rotor capable of reaching forces up to 4,500 xg with full loads of up to 28 x 50ml tubes, 68 x 15ml tubes, or up to 20 microplates. Equipped with advanced microprocessor controls, the centrifuge provides instant rotor identification that automatically converts rotational speed to the relevant g-force (RCF), preventing the user from exceeding the rotor's speed limits. The front panel allows adjustment of acceleration and deceleration rates, changing the end-of-run alarm tone, and retrieval of up to 99 saved programs. Rotor exchange is efficient, taking less than one minute, with the identification process activating immediately upon rotor placement to display the rotor code on the LCD screen.
