The Z446 universal centrifuge series features the highest capacity among benchtop Hermle-Benchmark models, constructed with aircraft grade, premium alloy. It includes a 4 x 750ml swing-out rotor capable of reaching forces up to 4,500 xg, accommodating full loads of up to 28 x 50ml tubes, 68 x 15ml tubes, and up to 20 microplates. The device is equipped with advanced microprocessor controls for instant rotor identification, which automatically converts rotational speed to the relevant g-force (RCF) to prevent setting speeds beyond rotor limits. The front panel allows adjustment of acceleration and deceleration rates, changes to the end of run alarm tone, and retrieval of up to 99 saved programs. Rotor exchange is straightforward and completed in less than one minute, with the identification process activating as soon as the rotor is placed on the motor shaft, displaying the installed rotor code on the LCD screen.
