The MP8028 is a 1-1/8" round punch and die set designed for Metalpro ironworkers. Each set includes one upper punch and one lower die, with the hole size determined by the upper punch. The lower die measures 2" and features a 1/32" clearance between the punch and die. For optimal performance, the hole punch size should be equal to or greater than the material thickness, and it is recommended that the punch and die set used be 1/32" larger than the bolt size (for example, a 5/16" bolt requires an 11/32" round punch and die set). This punch and die set is rated for use in mild steel.
