3M™ VentureClad™ enhanced metal jacketing 1577CWE-EMJ is a multi-layered laminate tape designed for all-weather jacketing applications on insulated HVAC ductwork and pipes, providing zero permeability as a vapor barrier. This jacketing offers high resistance to weathering, mold, ultraviolet (UV) rays, and extreme environmental conditions, featuring an additional clear coat layer for enhanced durability and resistance. It is quick and simple to install without specialized tools, highly resistant to punctures and tears, and available in a silver embossed finish with various widths and lengths. The jacketing bonds and seals in cold, hot, and humid environments with a temperature service range from -40°F (-40°C) to 248°F (120°C), performing at temperatures as low as -10°F (-23°C). It is designed to protect a variety of insulation materials including fiberglass, polystyrene, mineral wool, elastomeric, phenolic foam, cellular glass, calcium silicate, and conformable aerogel, against vapor intrusion, chemical atmospheres, water, fungi, corrosion, oil, and grease. Additionally, the product is GREENGUARD Gold certified, qualifying for LEED® credits, and provides a clean appearance without sharp edges, fasteners, or banding. The jacketing is backed by a 10-year 3M™ warranty when applied according to 3M™ installation guidelines.
